If you’re just starting on your goal to start a small business online or make money blogging, then you’re luckier than you think. Sure, the increase in the number of internet businesses and professional blogs has shot up, giving way to a more competitive online environment. What works to your advantage, however, is the fact that there’s a lot of information now on how you can earn money from your site. Advice is all over the place, as are tutorials and instructional manuals on how you can put up your online store or start blogging for money.
A basic piece of advice that you’ll encounter is one that encourages you to make a blueprint for your online marketing strategy. If you’re no stranger to blogging for profit, you would know by now that a good internet marketing strategy is indispensable when it comes to earning money from your site. What this basically means is that you have to create a good strategy that lets you promote your products or services through your site.
What a lot of neophytes are unaware of, however, is the fact that not all internet marketing strategies will work for their benefit. Some of the internet marketing advice you’ll get will be downright unreliable or ineffective, and many bloggers who want to jumpstart their online ventures or make money blogging end up using these flawed marketing strategies. Are you also committing these internet marketing blunders? Read on to find out what you should NOT do if you want to launch a successful promotional campaign for your blog:
1. Building a website that’s great to look at – but takes ages to load:
It’s good to put effort into your blog’s appearance, to make it as attractive as possible to create a favorable impression on your visitors. What won’t work, however, is a blog design that takes forever to load on the screen, or a site that’s bogged down by too many high-end applications. After all, if your visitors feel that your site is always making them wait, they’re likely to stop coming back. Ultimately, a gorgeous site that takes too much time to load is just as bad as an ugly template. Both of them make your readers feel like you’re wasting their time, and they’ll just end up moving on to other blogs where they can get what they want in a few seconds.
2. Expending minimal effort at keyword research:
A large number of people actually believe that keyword research amounts only to recognizing what the most popular keywords in Google are and using those words to make your posts search engine-friendly. Sure, these are all part of the whole package. But have you actually come up with a keyword research system that will really make your site earn money?
Don’t just stop at looking up keyword rankings and finding out how many people, on average, are using the search terms, “how to lose weight”. Instead, you should also watch the activity behind each keyword you put up strategically on your site: which keywords actually fetch you the most number of visits? Of these keywords, which ones actually end up with a sign-up or a sale? You should start a process for keyword research that’s more organized and more relevant in its thrust.
3. Scratching just the surface of your web stats:
Okay, so you already have Google Analytics tracking the activity on your site. It’s been running for a good while now, gathering a lot of useful data that you can use to boost your blog’s earnings. But are you really making the most out of your analytics tool? Most bloggers just look at how many people are going to their site, taking note of how much time their visitors are spending on which web page, et cetera. You have to recognize, however, that assessing your blog stats only by these factors is a superficial evaluation of your site’s performance.
A more productive strategy is to look into where your traffic is sourced from. Are they coming from search engines? Which keywords are bringing your visitors to your site? Maybe your e-mail campaign is hauling all your visitors in? Whatever it is, make sure that you know where your visitors are coming from so you know where your blog should go.
Take note, however, that an effective marketing campaign doesn’t ensure long-term success — not if your product isn’t up to par. Your best advertisement still lies in your product itself. No matter how good your promotional tactics are, a bad product will never sustain a profit for long. A good, reliable product will make its own waves when it’s introduced properly to its target market. So clean up your act, draw up a smart online marketing strategy, and pave the way for the success of your blog and the products and services it offers.

Nearly all new businesses have their own web site as it is now considered crucial to success. In fact there are many businesses which exist solely on the Internet. Many people are tempted to start an online business but are put off by the expense of having a web site built by a professional web site designer. The shock may have even given you second thought on starting a business but this article takes a look at the world of web design with a view to building your first web site at little or no cost using free services, software and templates.
Although the cost of professional web design seems ridiculously high there are a number of reasons why this is so. Not only do you have to cover the wages of the highly trained designer but the company has other costs such as office expenses. Even if the web designer works from home he will be using software and hardware, such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, graphics tablets and the likes, that is really rather expensive. However there are many cheaper, and some free, alternatives which can be used to create even the most complex websites and some companies even give away complete web designs for free (usually advertised as free web templates).
Finding the cheap or free alternatives is as simple as a search on your favorite search engine. Simply search for “web design freeware” or “web design shareware”, the difference between the two types is that one is free whereas the other requests a small payment for use (especially if the software is being used commercially). You will find a massive selection of web building tools are available and many are so good that some professionals use them!
These days most free web design tools have a WYSIWYG interface which makes web design as easy as drawing a picture. However you will need to learn a little about the programming languages used in web design, HTML & CSS. Even basic knowledge of HTML and CSS will help greatly.
If building a web site from scratch using HTML and CSS is a little daunting then you can search the Internet for free web site templates or free css templates. You will be amazed at the quality of some of these designs which can be easily tweaked to perfectly match your web design requirements.
If even this method is a little too complicated for you there is another alternative which is one of the most popular ways in which to build a web site – blogs. Whatever topic you want your web site to be about you can be sure that a blog is highly suitable as the Internet has blogs about virtually everything possible.
The really great thing about blogs is that they are free, yes, get that, this amazing web building tool is offered for free! Of course some blogs carry a cost but the most common are free for a basic account, such as Blogger and Wordpress. You are given a small amount of web space to store your posts (pages) and images and the whole process of building a blog is so easy that children do it. The interface is rather like a word processor, you simply type in the text for the page and hit publish and the page is immediately created.
Of course the free blogs are rather basic with some limitations but as your knowledge increases you can upgrade some to include extra facilities and more web space. However it is really not that complicated to change the design of your blog and, if you have downloaded the blog software (Wordpress is best) to install on your own free web space (very easy to install) then you can take advantage of the many free Wordpress themes and templates available.
Remember building your first web site can be as easy as searching for freeware, shareware, free web templates etc. so what is stopping you, why don’t you get started on a site today? Take a Look at www.freewebsitetemplates4u.com

Businesses are beginning to realize that a website isn’t enough to make a powerful online presence. Marketers have started to include blogging as a vital part of their online search engine optimisation and marketing mix. There are still some businesses out there that aren’t clear on how blogs can help them.
They simply came up with a blog, not knowing how to make it work to their favor. Blogs are highly versatile tools that are capable of executing the different aspects of marketing—from the basic market researches down to creative guerrilla marketing, blogs offer businesses a lot of breakthrough opportunities.
Below are 5 of the most practical ways in which a blog can help your online business.
1. Blogs make it simpler to create a relationship with your target market
Publishing a blog makes it easier to give your brand a personality. Your blog allows people to directly interact with your brand, and they expect some sort of reply or acknowledgement that someone in your company has received and read their messages.
Keeping the feedback loop maintained allows you to monitor your market allows a better conversion rate of leads to clients.
2. Blogs attract fresh insights and inform you of new category trends
Keeping communication lines open for your blog visitors, you will undoubtably gain fresh insights and new suggestions. The beauty of this is that you don’t need to pay anyone to talk to the consumers for you, but you still get the information straight from the primary source.
It’s now up to you how you organize the information that you’ve gathered; make them work towards your advantage. Go one step further by cross checking your data. Visit blogs of your competition and see what their blogs’ visitors have to say in the comments section. Doing so would definitely give you a better view of your marketplace.
3. Before launching a product or service, a blog is a great way to test the market
Before fully launching an ad or any creative promo and campaign, you can execute a mini version of your plan through your blog and see how your audience responds. Suggestions and comments will pour in, giving you ideas on how you can improve and tweak it to better suit your market.
Companies spend a lot of money conducting FGDs and researches. These end up costing as much as—sometimes more than—a full-blown campaign. While blogs cannot replicate the accuracy of professional research groups, they can work well for a lot of market-driven studies.
4. Increasing your online exposure is possible through blogs
The blog network survives on a complex link network. Bloggers are usually fine with linking fellow bloggers that they find interesting. Its a good idea to befriend top ranking blogs in your own category or at least related categories.
Ensure you make available, regular content and keep it updated to make sure your credibility is high.
5. With blogs there is more room for creativity
Your blog can be the fun alter-ego of your corporate website. While this doesn’t mean a complete dissent from your brand’s identity, blogs allow you to close the gap between how you define your brand and how your market perceives your brand.
Not to long ago, Google Adsense was the darling of the Internet Marketing World. Newbies jumped on board the Adsense bandwagon believing they would make money fast and be holding up big checks like Shoemoney. Then, after a few weeks getting just pennies for their clicks, they then become angry and screamed to everyone who will listen that Adsense won’t make you money anymore.
The truth is, there are still many of us who are bringing home damn good paydays with Adsense. Making money with Adsense requires a little more than just throwing up a blog, scraping content and adding your Adsense code. In a Nutshell, Adsense is still one of the easy ways to make money online. Here’s some advanced strategies that will help increase your money from Google Adsense.
First off, take a long hard look at the site where you have Adsense. Is your site targeted to one niche? I find it really humurous sometimes when so called Internet Marketer say you can’t make any money with Adsense. I usually check out their site and see that it isn’t optimized for any keyword that advertisers would be bidding on. Or, what advertisers that are bidding are bidding a nickel per hit. The lack of a focused website is one of the biggest reasons Webmasters don’t make money with the Google Adsense program.
For Google Adsense to show your visitors the highest paying ads, your site has to be very targeted to a keyword. Take this for example, if you publish articles on your site discussing everything from how green the grass is today to how sloppy your kids teacher dressed, Adsense is not going to give you high paying clicks. What’s more, the ones you do get probably won’t be targeted to your audience because the Adsense bot is having an impossible time trying to figure out what your blog is about.
You can start taking notes now. Let’s say your website is about Chicken Wings. You have no articles on your site other than those about Chicken Wings. You have articles about Hot Wings, Barbecue Chicken Wings, Wing Sauce Recipes, How to cook Chicken Wings, etc. Now if you’ve done your on-page SEO properly, the Adsense bot will know that you site is all about Chicken Wings. This site will get the highest paying ads concerning chicken wings. Plus, when you have visitors to your site, they’re going to click on those Adsense ads if they want more information about chicken wings.
Another thing that makes me laugh is when a noob says he’s getting a steady stream of traffic from Stumble Upon or Digg, but he isn’t getting any clicks? It’s no secret to most of us that Social Traffic doesnt convert. Traffic from Social Sites are just browsing the Internet while they’re at work. There’s an old saying in Internet Marketing that goes like this. Readers don’t click ads and Clickers don’t read!
Organic traffic is what drives Adsense clicks. If your website is niche focused and you have your site ranking well for its keywords, then when search engine traffic from Google arrives, they’ll be clicking ads. They’re searching for information and they found it on your site. Your site has a bunch of Adsense ads about what they’re looking for. They want information and they want it now. They will click those ads!
Yet another strategy is to have some vague or long drawn out post. If someone is looking for a recipe on Chicken Wings with Cheese Fritters and you have an article by the same name, they’ll be reading that article. But if that article is really long and boring and says very little about Chicken Wings with Cheese Fritters, they’ll get bored and start looking around your site. That’s when they’ll see an Adsense block with an ad for a sure fire, can’t miss Chicken Wing with Cheese Fritter recipe and click on it. Don’t solve their problem with your article. Let the Adwords advertiser do that!
I have more, but that will have to be another article. I’ll let you think about what I just said. Meanwhile, go look at your site and see where you can improve it. Get it focused on one niche. Forget about having a website covering too many subjects. That will only get you those five cent clicks, if you even get those!
Many people are participating in blogging. Blogs are fun to write. Some people simply like to write about their hobby. Others do it to bring attention to their business offerings. Whatever your motivation you will at some point want to monetize your blog. Once you learn how to start a blog, start writing good content, and gain visitors, you will be able to make some money.
There are many ways to make money blogging. You can sell advertisements. You can join an affiliate program and collect a commission on products you recommend and your readers purchase. Selling your own product is also a great option. Just about any method you can think of is available to you for making money blogging.
The following are but a few of the options available to a blogger for making money from their writing and content. All are not necessarily good for every blog. If you are writing a political blog with conservative views then posting Google Adsense advertisements may not work as well as getting a commission from selling political books.
Probably the most common means of making money with your blog these days is through the Google Adsense program. This program allows you to place Google Adwords on your blog, otherwise known as Adsense, and if visitors click on an ad then Google will share in the revenue.
Is Adsense right for your blog? Let’s say you have blog about golf and posted an article about ladies golf clubs. The advertising block from Adsense would most likely show ads about ladies golf clubs, if available, and at the least golf clubs. Google allows you to share in the revenue when your visitor clicks on one of the ads in their program, or network. When your earnings reach at least a hundred dollars, Google would then send you a check.
Affiliate programs are another way that you can make money with your blog as they allow you to promote their products and receive a if your visitor purchases that item. There are numerous programs such as Shareasale, Commission Junction and in-house programs like Amazon.com that you can apply to. Many big name companies with large advertising budgets might buy ad space on your blog if you get a large number of visitors. You could set up an online store and sell your own goods as well.
The methods for making money from blogging are very easy to do. The difficulty is actually marketing your blog so visitors will buy the products you are offering.
What is blogging to you and can you really make money from home using blogging? The answer is yes and you can indeed earn money now with the proper blogging technique.
There are so many new-age terms floating around these days. This typically applies to the online world. Many of the older one and even the younger one have trouble keeping up with all the changes and nuances our high-tech world has to offer. If you had said you were going to check your email account on a cell phone 20 years ago, obviously everyone would have thought you were mad. Gadgets and medium rule the world today. Take voicing your opinion for instance. While folks used to do this on the radio or television, they now do it on the Internet. So if you ever question yourself; what exactly is blogging? It is a good way to vent your thoughts, emotions and opinions via the web. Do you have something to say?
In reality, loads of people take full advantage of the Internet for blogging about their viewpoints. While anyone would have said, what is blogging merely five years ago, today it’s all the rage and in full effect. Now, think why you might want to start a blog. Oh, wait a minute! We should establish a few formats first. Websites like Blogger.com and Wordpress.com allow you to sign up for free blogging accounts and start blogging about whatever you please. It really is that simple. You can published it very quickly. So what would you prefer to blog about? Perhaps you want to start a blog on politics, religion, money making or movies. The endless possibilities are there and they are all yours.
Now, if you still do not know what is blogging and why you should start blogging, think of the monetary gain. That’s right you guess it! You can actually earn from blogging on the web. Essentially webites platform such as Blogger.com, which is part of Google, and allows you to place ads on your blog. This allows one to profit from anyone who click on the ads. This is a primary reason why many folks make the decision to create blogs in the first place. You can earn money with your knowledge and advice. At this point you no longer have to ask anyone; what is blogging? Now you know!
With an ever increasing number of people striving to make money through some form of web based business, it could be blog marketing, CPA, or any other organic search based system, getting their sites “seen” has become increasingly vital. What do I mean by “seen”, well if your web site is not somewhere in the first couple of pages of Google, Yahoo etc for the keywords you have selected, you may as well not exist, Correct!
A critical element of being seen by the search engines is Links, ones that point to your sites, ones that come from important sites, PR’d sites, but not reciprocal links, the ‘you give me one and I’ll give you one’ type. These can help, but don’t have the clout you are looking for.
So the dilemma is how to get links, the ones that matter?
The best way is by writing unique content, it could be from a piece you have scribed and had accepted by article hosts such as ezinearticles.com or other highly ranked article libraries, or they might be from your content on someone else’s blog. The trouble with blogs is finding them, then getting your article accepted, it takes a heap of time, agreed?
Suppose you could do the submissions automatically and have your content accepted on 100s of top notch blogs, even better, what if each piece was automatically re-written and you could insert up to 3 links back to your niche blog. Every link would be one way and from an authority site, just imagine the benefit to your rankings.
Now, have a careful think for a moment. Where did you find this review? It is one I wrote, then spun into several versions and posted through AMA, Article Marketing Automation, now there is a huge number, all unique all over the web, what does that tell you?
Why wouldn’t I use AMA because I know how powerful it is and how quick it is to crank up with articles to post onto the web. I allocate some time to do some writing, then about 5 mins posting on AMA and I’m done. I now have 1000s of unique links back to my websites from articles and reviews. The power of this blew me away recently with one piece of content. I posted it on Friday, on Monday it ranked #3 & #5 on Google for my pre-determined keywords against huge competition in the millions, so does it work, you better believe it!
I have been struggling to build to this level for about 2 years and nothing has come anywhere near the power of this software, not only that, I also have my blogs listed in AMA’s database, so they are getting built with fresh content the whole time, now they have 100s of new pages which also helps them rank.
So consider where you have been and what this will achieve for you, I now cannot imagine being without it, it would have to be one of the most important tools I use in getting my sites noticed and earning money. Don’t forget, you found this page, so does it work???
Go to the Article Marketing Automation Website and start indexing your sites now.
