After recently going on one of those fancy luxury cruises myself I have come to the conclusion that going on one is simply one of the best things you could possibly do with your money. Why? The main reason behind this is that a cruise like this one not only provides everything you would expect to find on a normal holiday but adds to that on a stupidly large scale which is brilliant.

Nowhere else in the entire world are you going to find giant luxury suites with butler services, spas and training areas as well as a giant swimming pool, restaurent and bars and karoke. I could not believe how many different activites are available one one of these ships, it really is limitless to the things you can do when en-route to the next destination. I myself went to one of the educational talks on the destination that we were heading to next and it is fascinating to hear all about it before you actually get there so at least you feel slightly knowledgeable rather than turning up completely oblivious to the culture.

When I was aboard I most certainly did not think the food would match that of my America visits but my word did it, and it went down very well with a dinner time show.
You can literally go to any destination in the world now as over the past decade or so the places in which cruise liners are going to has grown immensley ranging from Africa to the Antarctic which I think is brilliant for everyone who has always wanted to see the waters around these areas as well as see the towns and cities within them.

So save up those wages and go on a luxury cruise holiday like me and if you want advice on which one is the best to go on as there are literally hundreds all I can say is that Regent Cruises was simply fantastic an I would recommend to anyone thinking of going on a holiday like this.

I have come to the conclusion that going on one of those great luxury cruise ships is actually worth all the money as well as being a lot better than taking a plane there. Could it really be better than flying?

No  hassle arriving fifty hours before so your bags can be checked, that is done quickly which is great you wont need to get up that early to get there as its all a lot quicker.  As well as this there is no waiting to get to your destination as essentially as soon as you board the ship you are at your hotel room and can lie down and rest or jump straight into the pool.

There are also casinos, free room service, and bars to go to as soon as you step foot onto the ship. Free drinks are only available on planes if you are travelling long haul with one of the expensive airlines like BA or Virgin.

The best thing about it is you actually get to have legroom which is great compared to a plane! Welcome to a way of travelling without being squashed in for however many hours, go anywhere on the ship you can even take a jog on the jogging track.

Of course if something does happen all you have to do is get into a lifeboat rather than jump down a huge inflatable slide or worse die on impact. No real threat from terrorism on a cruise ship, not at the moment anyway! All you really need to worry about are pirates and that is only if you are near the pirate zones.

There is of course always the possibilty that a storm will occur and if that happens it won’t ruin the holiday just head downstairs for a nice dip in the pool or have a bite to eat!

I have to admit I love flying and I would never say cruise every year instead of flying to your favourite destination but going on a luxury cruise is nice every so often and with Regent Cruises (the one I went with) you are sure to have a better time than on an aeroplane.

The tradition of Easter egg hunts goes back centuries in one form or another. As a symbol of fertility and new birth, eggs planted around the home bring to mind the rebirth of Spring. Incorporate that same feeling of joy into your hunt to make it fun for the whole family.

To generate the most fun, decorate the house in a festive style. Finding eggs is great, but sdecorating your home inside and out can really create a festive holiday feeling. Place a few colorful bouquets of flowers in nice vases and planters on the tables. Hang an Easter wreath on the door. Put some tall stalks hung with Easter bunnies in the yard.

Before hiding any eggs or baskets, you’ll have to decide which kind of eggs to use and what you can put in the baskets.

Eggs can be either real or artificial, or both. Decorating real eggs is still a lot of fun. Parent and child can spend a great time together making up and all sorts of interesting designs for pennies. Artificial eggs have the advantage of saving some time and being filled with all sorts of delightful little surprises. Eggs can contain chocolates, jewelry and much more.

Similarly, baskets can be filled with just about anything that will fit. Everything from miniature flashlights to puppies or kittens have made their way into the baskets for kids to find. Stuffed or chocolate bunnies, magic tricks or games, or a thousand other little items bring joy to young hearts.

You can enhance the fun by making the basket the first thing to find. There are a hundred creative ways to do that. Drawing a little maze for them to navigate is one way. Providing treasure hunt-style clues is another. But don’t draw out this first phase too long. You want to move on to the egg hunt fairly soon or frustration may set in.

Once the ‘hunter’ has basket in hand, the fun really begins. A mixture of easy-to-find eggs with those that present a challenge provides a good balance. Easy to find items give the young ones incentive to continue, since they see rewards right away. But those that take a little more time and effort help draw out the game like an interesting movie in which they’re eager to discover what comes next.

If you’re planning a hunt for multiple children your skills as an Easter egg hunt planner will be tested. That’s part of the fun for you! There are several ways to carry that task out successfully.

You can give different kids different sets of clues that only they follow. With guides known only to them, the odds of another finding treats intended for them are low. You can also provide for a little friendly competition in one phase by bringing the two paths together. Knowing which method to follow, and to what degree, just depends on the individual personality, age and skills of the children in the hunt.

Plan your Easter egg hunt well rather than just have a free for all where everyone searches randomly. The kids will have much more fun, and so will you as you watch their path to success.

Apparently, my mom tells me, that everyone  the Christmas sadness one time or two in their life.I always thought that it was impossible.Christmas is my favorite. It is the holiday that I look forward to the most. But they’re right. I’ve got the Christmas blues. Christmas stress have officially arrived. I can’t face the idea of pre lit garland.

I cant think of what has gotten into me. I am wiped out recently. I was supposed to get gifts for everyone this week but I just can’t seem to find the right kind of cheer I need.I always try to my best to have a cheerful demeanor because I believe that when you shop happy you buy gifts that make people happy. As if things couldn’t get any worse, mu husband Jim was talking to his boss who mentioned how much fun he had at last years dinner party so essentially invited himself.  Jim must have “forgotten” to tell me again last night.

So aside from the gifts I still have to buy and the Christmas stress I have to get out of, I have to prepare a dinner party that will top the one I gave before. I’d like to switch the toggle to turn myself into Superwoman. There’s nothing going on. I’m just too tired. With my luck I’m going to come down with a cold.  It’ll be a blow for the kids. They’re really expecting my usual upbeat self during Christmas season. I wouldn’t want to hamper their festive mood.

Ugh. I really, really don’t feel so good.Pardon me…. WHAT!? I’m officially out of my Christmas stress.

I just got the news that me and my husband are having a baby! Bring on the party! I guess the holiday garland might get hung this year.

I’ve never been one to ask for a normal gift under my LED christmas treeFor the past forty-three years of my life, I would always wish for something unique. {Believe it or not|You may not think what I say is true}, I would always get my wish granted by Santa Clause, whom until now I believe exists.

As an example, there was a time that I wished for two gentlemen to court me on Valentine’s Day, and it happened. A goofy smile came over my face later that month, because I was thinking Santa made it happened. And for the following year, I again wished for something extraordinary, which is I would meet a man on a train when I go to Berlin. And then three days before the next Christmas day, when I went to Germany on the train, I was sitting beside a man who I talked to for the entire ride. That man became my husband, Ralph. Now that is a great gift no one gets under their LED fiber optic christmas tree.

I figure after so many years of great presents that Santa has delivered to me I would ask for something for someone else. this year I’d like to use my Christmas wish for one of my patients who has a bad case of diabetes. She is supposed to have her foot cut off that she is losing to the disease on the 1st of January, after she acquired a diabetic foot . She is the mother of three children and a Russian immigrant; the eldest is only twelve and the youngest is two and a half. She lives alone since her mother died of a heart attack six months ago. Her life will be a lot different if she has the operation, knowing that her income only comes from a simple family business of pottery and blown glass.

If I can decide what I really wanted this Christmas season, I would ask that I do a good job on the operating table, and let me give her the bet advice I can, and let her follow it. A less realistic wish is that people in powerful positions like government would care more about disadvantaged groups.

Flipping Christmas

The holidays can bring a lot of fun and happiness, but along comes stress as well. Annually, I get myself all stressed out over the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. Sometimes for me, I see Christmas just like the usual depressing and happiest holiday of the year. Why? Because it makes me think about something that I haven’t achieve for this whole year, and another year is about to come and make me struggle to get into that goal. It’s the fact of having a baby, is the thing that is so depressing for me. My man Labron, he just helps me relax and makes sure I don’t worry myself to death at this holiday that comes once a year and always ends up ok. Everything down to picking up my new upside down christmas tree stresses me out!

I always believe though that maybe it’s the only time of this year that I get to notice some of the things I don’t possibly have, that’s why I go to this some sort of Christmas stress. But things actually turn better when eve comes. There are people who I see that I rarely get to, my parents for one, since they live in Maine and we are all the way in Florida, also I like to see my 3 nieces. That being said, on occasion we don’t push them to come to our house over the holidays for the reason that I know they have a lot of stuff to do as well.

Due to everything, I try to do a few things I’ve learned over the years to distract myself. Often I try to look into the future and write down everything I need to get done for Christmas day. My husband manages to help me out by giving me second ideas on our next planned expenses during Christmas too. Next year my hope is that we will be able to spend Christmas away from home, the hope being the stress levels would be lower. I like to think of the things I’m looking forward to purely for my enjoyment like my chandelier christmas tree.

Lots of people think that the stress of the Holidays comes from the Christmas rush, or that people stress out from the pressure of the season, like decoration, the Christmas turkey or ham, or picking out the perfect present to make family members happy. For some of us we aren’t so lucky as for our main source of stress to be what goes under the lighted christmas tree, but a lot of other considerations. But for us doctors, Christmas stress never ends when the clock strikes twelve, and the 26th of December was marked on the calendar. For doctors the holidays last 365 days a year, or really the holiday stress follows us everywhere.

The holidays are about hope and giving life. Physicians like myself make life changing decisions every day, not just for ourselves, but for our patents as well. We make them happy, especially if we can detect hope for their illness. Doctors do everything in their power to make clients feel better, when when recovery is near impossible, we just do our best to help them accept their situation and make them make the best out of the time they have left.

That’s why all the days of the year are like Christmas, and it really does make for a lot of stress on ones person, it’s a major thing when you’re being part of someone’s last breath. There are times, you can’t hold long by being strong in front of a dying patient, and what you can do is just to empathize, or better yet, get out of the room and keep the sorrow for yourself. This is the reason why being a doctor can overload one with stress. Indeed, Christmas stress is different when you are in a medical profession, because you cannot get away from it, instead you need to learn to accept it as a normal part of your life. So this year when you’re sitting around the lighted christmas wreath just relax and think it could be worse.

We all wanted to have something that is special during Christmas, and we both wish for something that is always good and nice. For some of us we want something under the white christmas tree and others want something else. But sometimes what we want doesn’t always happen. What I want for Christmas this year is that I would like to have something that I really want for myself. I’d been saving for some years now for this, and it would really be helpful for me and my husband Labron.

This year if its possible I’d like to buy a car, so that I can go places I want to when I want to, I could just get up and go. I actually have a car right now that I drive only if under work hours, since it’s a company car. Generally there is a rule against us using our company vehicles for doing our own thing, like getting groceries or other chores. My hubby Labron drives his car to the office every day, but we don’t work in the same direction so I have to take the bus. Besides that, something else I would defiantly enjoy receiving is a brand new digital camera so I can take pictures when I see something cool. Along the way, I see some great scenes that I could include in my collections of pictures, and it will be a great idea if I could have something that testifies my kind of passion.

After many years of delivery driving the road has become my best buddy. And it’s far better to have some type of a hobby while I go off to work. It surely doesn’t bore me at all or let me think of something else rather than thinking about some problems or being alone in the road. These are the things that I want for Christmas, and now I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll find them under my pink christmas tree.
