HIGH BLOOD SUGAR IS AN INDICATION OF A MORE SERIOUS PROBLEM

POPULAR UNDERSTANDING:

Diabetics do not make enough insulin or the body does not use all the insulin it produces. Insulin is a hormone that makes possible for glucose (sugar) to permeate cells and then transformed to energy. The pancreas emits enzymes that aid carbohydrate, protein, and fat metabolism. Once the pancreas is non-performing then digestive enzymes are not supplied for digestion. The condition imbalances the liver, gall bladder, spleen and all digestive related organs. During uncontrolled diabetes, glucose and fats stay in the circulatory system, where in time, the principal digestive organs become damaged and finally diseased.

DIABETIC STATISTICS:

  • Seventeen million Americans are walking around with diabetes, and 200,000 people will die this year due to related complications. Diabetes sets up conditions for heart disease, stroke, blindness, kidney failure, leg and foot amputations, pregnancy complications, and deaths related to flu and pneumonia. At risk, are the 5.9 million Americans who are unaware that they have the condition.
  • We spend $100 Billion a year on diabetes, directly and indirectly. In 1997, the average health care cost for a person with diabetes was ,071, compared with ,699 for a person without diabetes.
  • U.S. adults with diabetes increased 49% from 1990 to 2000. Increases are expected in the next decade and beyond.
  • Diabetes is an epidemic. In 1990, there were only 4 U.S. states determined to be at epidemic levels. In 1995, that number increased to 11. In 2000, there were only 6 states that were not at epidemic levels.

What happened to the other 44 states in 10 years? What is occuring in our country where a disease can over run us. We are being secretly invaded by a force greater than any terrorist group. Is there anyone seeing what is truely happening? That’s more than 15 million plus people caught in the grips of this top level threat to our country. Where’s the equal level response by our government and medical establishment?

UNDERLYING CAUSATION

While insulin production and all the relevant symptoms in the body is a concern, to rest here and just declare the pancreas is the source of the ailment is not enough. Its a primary component but not the complete. Some other factors:

Diet & Elimination: While diet plays another primary role in the story, reducing protein, carbs and sugar, soundly, helps but there is more to the setting that needs to be acknowledged. The nourishment value of our food is less nutritious. Our U.S. sources have exhausted the top soil quality. Rather than re-establishing our soil with our elimination similar to other long life zones, the U.S. wastes its valuable elimination down the sewers to the rivers and eventually the oceans. As a result we have to look to natural sources of foods and diabetic herbs.

Life stressors: Stress wears down the life force. Are we experiencing more stress than our parents? Hard to say. They survived World War II whereas we have been subjected to escalating undeclared wars, increasing amusement channels, artificially constructed anti-diseases,chemicals, taxes, etc. If, we try to measure up to these activities and not rest (physically, mentally, spiritually) then our adrenals-kidneys become deficient which houses our physical energy production. The result is that all of our organs do not have the energy to sustain.Consequently, when organs do not perform their functions and call for restoration, not separately but systemically prior to additional non-understood illnesses present.

Character: Our ability to interpret, positively or negatively, may have a lot to say about our ability to manage personal conflict. If we see things positively then our perceptions and response is that we are challenged and figure out solutions. When negative, then opportunities will be missed because we are strapped by fear. That high level of anxiety speeds up aging, perpetuates fear and opens the door to an unprotected immunity. We need to discover or relearn how to raise courage during taxing times. As we believe, we perceive, so shall our life follow.

Female infertility is a big issue for many women due mainly to the desire to have a child of their own. This condition is actually quite easy to detect in a woman and man especially when they are trying to conceive a child. Signs of female infertility may be observed by a physician upon careful examination and diagnosis of the woman. There are also some signs of female infertility which can seem to be not related to infertility. A few symptoms of female infertility may be similar to other conditions which should not be considered until fully diagnosed by a doctor.

What To Watch Out For When Looking Out For Signs Of Female Infertility

Other than not being able to conceive or carry pregnancy to full term, other signs of female infertility are irregular menstrual cycles, abnormal weight loss or gain, excessive hair growth, recurrent acne out of puberty, pain during menstruation and intercourse and irregular basal body temperature.

An irregular menstrual cycle can be a sign of female infertility because these may signify damage, blockage or injury to some parts of the female reproductive system. Excessive bleeding causes female infertility, in the sense that there is something wrong with how the menstrual cycle works for a particular woman. The absence of menses can also indicate infertility in the sense that there may be no eggs being produced by the woman.

Fluctuation in weight, irregular hair growth and acne over the age of puberty are also signs of female infertilitybecause these are sometimes caused by hormonal imbalances which can affect the female reproductive system. Hormones control many of our body’s basic functions and having an imbalance in this aspect can cause a lot of irregularities in the body. Particularly painful menstrual cramps can also be signs of female infertility since this signal endometriosis which can cause blockage or damage to some parts of a woman’s reproductive system. Endometriosis can also cause pain during intercourse as well as fibroid tumors, which can block passages in and around the reproductive system.

Basal body temperature is taken to check when a woman is most fertile and when she is not. Irregular basal body temperature is included in the signs of female infertility. Some women who may be infertile can have basal body temperatures which fluctuate irregularly or never reach the degree which indicates fertility.

These signs of female infertility are the most basic. There are other signs of female infertility which can be seen after the attending physician has done some in depth tests to seek out answers.

No longer does the pregnant soon-to-be Mom have to wait for her next check up with her doctor to listen to her baby’s heartbeat. Now, right in the comfort of her own home any time she likes, she can use a baby heartbeat monitor to connect with her unborn child. It’s an amazing experience to hear your baby’s heart beat, not just the first time, but every time.

If you have had a miscarriage in the past or a previous difficult pregnancy it is understandable to be concerned about the current unborn child you are carrying. Regular visits to your OBGYN are extremely important, but a home fetal monitor may make your pregnancy a more relaxed experience for both you and your baby. A calm, relaxed mother is good for the baby.

Very similar to the heart rate monitors doctors use, the Doppler baby heart rate monitor is designed to be portable and easy to use. Small and light weight they are perfect for use by midwives and expecting moms.

A home monitor can detect your unborn child’s heart rate as early as 10 weeks into the pregnancy. Powered by batteries, Doppler baby heart rate monitors detect the heartbeat of a fetus using ultrasound. The sound waves are picked up through a probe and broadcast by speaker. The more expensive monitors have an LCD screen as well to show the heart beat visually and head phone jacks.

Doppler fetal heart rate monitors are available for rent or purchase. They range in price from to 0 for home use. It can be extremely helpful to take your monitor with you to your next prenatal exam and let your physician help you find the heart beat for the first time. There are a few ‘tricks’ that will make the process easier for you.

You will need a gel in addition to the monitor. It is often included, but if it is not, mineral oil or body lotion will work as well. It is also helpful, especially the first time you attempt to locate the heartbeat, to do it at a time when your bladder is full.

To locate the heartbeat, move the probe slowly and in a rocking motion keeping the face of the probe against the skin at all times. Begin below the belly button and about the pubic area. Above all else, do not panic if you cannot readily pick up the heartbeat. It may take some practice to locate it.

You do not have to worry about the safety of the Doppler baby heart beat monitors. The Mayo Clinic has been researching them for 30 years and has never discovered any ill effects from their use. The FDA has also approved them and does not even suggest that you seek a doctor’s approval first.

Waiting for your baby to be born when you have had a miscarriage or a previous difficult pregnancy can be stressful not only to the mom, but to the expectant father as well. A Doppler baby heart beat monitor can provide reassurance. It is important to know how to use the monitor so you do not panic if you cannot pick of the heart beat right away.

Use the monitor to relax and enjoy this special time of waiting and anticipation and keep your doctor informed of your progress. Continue to follow his recommendations and keep up with your pre-natal visits. Use the Doppler baby heart beat monitor to assist you and your doctor to make your pregnancy an easier experience.

Figuring out if you are pregnant is different for every woman, but almost every woman looks for a missed or delayed period.  In a few women, the signs of conception start showing in the first week of impregnation itself.  Then once more, in another women, the signs may not show up for weeks if ever. Always contact your doctor if your having earliest signs of pregnancy.

The embryo will implant in the uterine wall about 6 to 12 days after it is conceived.  Some women will experience some cramping and spotting when this happens.  Delay in the menstrual cycle is the better indication for the women to take the pregnancy test. Phone your doctor if your having any questions about tubal pregnancy symptoms.

If you become pregnant you will most likely miss your next period.  Their are some instances that a pregnant woman could have bleeding during their pregnancy but this is not like the regular period because this kind is just so light.Never just use the internet for questions, always call your doctors for questions about first trimester pregnancy.

Tender and swollen breasts are another symptom that a woman is pregnant. The areolas might become darker in a few women.

Over-tiredness is an indication that starts early on after conception. During your pregnancy you will feel sick mostly in the mornings but some women will feel sick at different times in the day during the whole preganancy.

There are women who never experience this but it usually lasts between 2 – 8 weeks. There might be pain in the lower back which occurs initially in pregnancy and normally continues throughout the period of the pregnancy as a dull type of ache.  The hormone levels change a lot and it typically causes headaches in early pregnancy.
If you have to pee more than you usually do this is an additional symptom of pregnancy and this happens approximately six weeks following conception.

You might also notice you begin craving specific foods; another sign that you might be pregnant. Though pickles and ice cream may not be a desire to eat, women throughout most of their pregnancy have cravings for certain foods.  If you think you could be pregnant, there are a lot of different home pregnancy tests to choose from and you can visit a health professional to take care of yourself and your baby.

When a woman is pregnant there are some choices to be made. They need to choose a doctor. They need to choose a hospital whre they would deliver their babies. And other important things as well. What pregnant women do not realize is that they have a choice aside from the usual way of delivery and this is called natural delivery. That is when they try not to use drugs for delivery. This method is gaining a lot of following as more and more people become more concerned with their health.Midwifery is the one profession that can hep in this kind of situation.

What is midwifery? It is defined as the practice of assisiting pregnant mothers give birth the natural way. There are other defintions. But this one makes it pretty simple.  As a San Diego midwife that is the job which is to help a woman attempt to deliver naturally.  There are a lot of benefits to this. The main benefit, of course, is the use of no drugs at all during the delivery. And the delivery proceeds faster because there are no drugs administered.Because most drugs administered during the delivery actually slows down the delivery.

Women now not just choose to give birth naturally but also opt to give birth at their own homes. They are opting to stay in their houses to give birth to their babies.  This seems a lot more different then people are used to.  But it offers a lot of benefits.  As a homebirth midwife San Diego I have been able to see these benefits firsthand. The privacy of the place is one benefit a mother can get from this method.  Also less intrusive medical procedures are needed because of the way the delivery is done.

Now of course there are some objections. Some are sceptical about the safety of the method.  But if it is a low risk pregnancy this shouldn’t be a big factor.  Now of course it isn’t recommended if the pregnancy is considered high risk.  In my midwife San Diego practice I always advise my clients to go with the normal delivery in a hospital if it is high risk.So that if anything happens it can be immediately attended to by a doctor.

The truth about acne products and the real dangers

Regardless of celebrity endorsements almost every acne product on the market including Proactiv® and Clearasil® are still using benzyl peroxide invented 80 years ago or salicylic acid as the active ingredient against acne. Most acne sufferers have no idea that benzyl peroxide is NOT recognized by the FDA as a safe and effective anti-acne drug and brands using benzyl peroxide don’t want you to know this. According to legislation, manufacturers and product marketers must provide this information to skin care professionals so that consumers can be advised of the potential dangers. Basically, the products containing benzyl peroxide must carry a label with warnings, similar to those on cigarette packs

Childbirth is also known as labor, birth which is the completion of human pregnancy period which results in the delivery of one or more babies from a woman womb. Three categories broadly describe the process of childbirth. Sometimes it is also achieved by caesarian section.

Stages of Normal Human Birth
First stage: contractions
This stage of labor starts when the cervix is 3 cm enlarged. The oncoming of actual labor is specified when the cervix starts to increasingly dilate. Breach of the tissue layer, or a blood stained ‘appearance’ may or may not happen at around this stage.
During self-effacement, the cervix gets integrated into the lower section of the uterus. This muscle contraction causes reducing of the upper section and dragging up of the lower section, in a gradual movement. This attracts the cervix up over the baby’s head. Full distension is attained when the cervix is the sizing of the baby’s head; about 10 cm dilation.
The time period of childbirth changes widely, but active phase averages 8 hours for women giving birth to their first baby and 4 hours for those who have already given birth.
Second stage: delivery
One finds the head fully locked in the Pelvis during this stage. It has also passed below the interspinous diam. After this all that will continue is for the fetal head to move below the pubis arch and out through the introitus. The fetus head is seen to ‘crown’ as the labia part. At this time the woman may have a sense of burning or stinging.
Obstetrical delivery of the fetus head indicates the successful finish of the fourth mechanism of labor, and is observed by the fifth and sixth mechanisms. A neonate with umbilical cord ready to be clamped
Third stage: placenta
At this stage, the uterus ejects the placenta (afterbirth). Withing 15-30 minutes of childbirth placenta is normally delivered. Paternal blood loss is confined by contraction of the womb following delivery of the placenta. Nursing soon after birth and kneading of the top of the uterus causes uterus compressions that encourage delivery of the placenta. This is the natural childbirth process

After The Childbirth
Doctors typically recommend breastfeeding of the first milk, colostrums, to assist with uterine compression to reduce postnatal bleeding in the mother, and to pass proteins, resistances and other welfare to the baby. Many cultures characteristic initiation rites for neonates, such as naming ceremonies, sacrament, and others.

Time passes and it seems that there’s no way to get a child. This can be despressing for both you and your partner. You’ve never thought you would get confronted to this situation but you’ve not lost hope There are treatments for infertility that can help you and your partner have children of your own. I know about that desesperation, but you must know that these are quite expensive. If money is an issue, you should also know that there is infertility treatment insurance that can help you with the costs. What you first want to do is get tested, both you and your partner, to see which one of you has the problem. Then, talk to your doctor about the latest treatments for infertility, payment options, infertility treatment insurance, and ask your doctor to answer any questions you may have. It’s possible that you end up having you own child. It even may be the result of the first treatment you try. In any case, don’t loose faith. New treatments appear everyday.

Making The Test

There are several reasons why you may be unable to have a child of your own. The man could have a low sperm count, the woman could have something wrong with egg production or her fallopian tubes, or it could be anything from low hormone production to a certain disease. The only way to know if to make the tests. Consider that it’s absolutly necessary if you want your doctor to make the best decision for you. So you’ll want to get tested first. Once you know the reason, the main thing is not to place blame. It’s not the man’s fault that you can’t have kids, just like it’s not the woman’s. It’s likely either one of you would change matters if you could. So don’t look to place blame, no matter who has the infertility problem. The main thing is to find a treatment for infertility that works.

Trying Various Options

You must consider that the first treatment will not necessarily be the solution. You must be prepared to failure. For that, your love of your partner is a must. You must be prepared, both. On the money plan, it can lead to a lot of costs. The better option will be to contract an infertility treatment insurance. Get informed. Look for options. It’s worth it to try every treatment you can until you find one that works for you. There are many treatments out there, and some work for some people but not for others, and your doctor should be able to determine which treatment for infertility is best for you based on your test results.

Natural Treatments

There are, of course, natural treatments for infertility that you can use. These are typically herbal supplements that you take to increase your chances of having your own children. Of course, the cost is much lower. They’re all natural and generally do not present any rick. Consider as a cheap option. Who knows? They can work and avoid you the cost of very expensive treatments.

Whatever happens, remember! When you’ll have the family photo album with your child, you won’t even remember all the sacrifice you’ve made. The joy and happiness of having your own child will overcome all this. You’ll just remember the good moments. The bad ones are worthwile. Look for your infertility treatment.

There are many negative aspects that any girl that has experienced an unplanned pregnancy will have to face. This kind of situation is unexpected and so can frighten as well as shock and upset even the strongest young girl. It is also a time when the expectant mother will need to cope with emotional upheaval that in turn will lead to feelings of anxiety and anger as well as plenty of fear and most importantly, it is a test of courage and character when it boils down to deciding about the fate of the unborn child.

Get It Off Your Chest Is The Best Way To Cope With Unplanned Pregnancy

The best way to cope with unplanned pregnancy is to talk to a person that you can trust and this means opening up your heart to your best friend, family members as well as even talk to counselors or even volunteers from organizations such as Planned Parenthood. There is little sense in trying to handle unplanned pregnancy on one’s own as this can prove to be a near impossible task. You can judiciously decide on how to cope with the unplanned pregnancy after you have relived your burden by sharing it with a close person.

Some people advise expert counselling and advocate unbiased advise as the best for handling unplanned pregnancy. In addition, it also pays to become well informed about coping with unplanned pregnancy and in this regard you should read books, articles and magazines so that you know what is to be done and more importantly learn about what is best for mother and her unborn baby.

Trying to hide the fact of the unplanned pregnancy is not recommended since the truth will eventually come out and by that time it may become too late to take the right decision. Your parents as well as close friends and relatives might be shocked at first but will soon recover their wits and provide you with proper guidance.

Some women even consider adoption as a way out of an unplanned pregnancy and this is possible in case the mother is not financially independent enough to provide proper care for her baby. By allowing someone else to adopt the child , she can at least provide a source of joy to someone which is as good as raising the child.

Fortunately, unplanned pregnancy help is available and it generally only takes a little courage to open up your soul to someone that is responsible and who knows how to deal with such situations. There are quite a few alternatives that can be tried out like Forums , books and agencies.

Pregnancy and childbirth are both truly incredible things. When you are going through pregnancy, you have a little baby developing in your body, who is going to be your child and who you are going to be looking after and caring for, for the rest of your life. Pregnancy and childbirth is an amazing experience and only the woman who actually gets to go through the pregnancy and childbirth.

This is not to say that the man isn’t there, which he hopefully is for her and the baby, but they really cannot experience pregnancy and childbirth firsthand.

Pregnancy And Childbirth: How It Happens?

Most people are aware of how pregnancy happens, but it is quite a fascinating process. Conception is fertilization of males sperm with females egg, and for this both the partners need to be sexually active. Once the sperm are deposited into the vagina they have quite a ways to go. They need to reach the cervix, through the uterus and then choose which fallopian tube the egg will be waiting in.

There are some sperm which are abnormal and this could mean that they can’t swim properly, that they are just too slow, or damaged, and in this case it would be rare for the woman to get pregnant. This is why often time when the man is older and his sperm is not as healthy, it is much more difficult for the woman to get pregnant.

If you are trying to get pregnant then you are going to want to learn about a few more things before getting started. For one, as the woman you are going to have to figure out your menstrual cycle, so that you know when you are ovulating. When you are ovulating, this is when the egg is ready to be fertilized, and so this is the time during the month that you are going to want to have sexual intercourse to get pregnant.

You can talk with your doctor or even a fertilization professional about this so that they can work with you and make sure that you are going to know your body and know when the best times to get pregnant are for you.

It is easy to see, whether you have been pregnant or not before, that pregnancy and childbirth is so incredible. It is amazing what the human body can do, and this is an experience unlike any other that any woman that experiences it should feel so grateful.
