You don’t need to buy gold in WoW, just read on for an overview of making more gold. Using a World of Warcraft gold guide can make this a lot smoother as gathering gold can also mean you level a little slower.
Gold is an essential part of the World of Warcraft because so many things such as training and mounts require you buy them. Some advise that you begin gathering as much gold as you can right from the start with gathering professions. Of course you could also do some grinding, flipping in the Auction House, or use certain Professions. While you could follow this advice and do good, the 3 step approach below works especially well.
Step 1: 1 Level 80 Character
Initially, focus on getting at least one level 80 character. Gold isn’t absolutely necessary to level a character to 80, besides your gear is going to be changing along the way. A proper leveling guide will go a long way to making this process a lot faster. To read about my recommended leveling and gold guide go here WoW Gold Tips.
The gold you’ll need for buying your mount for instance can all be obtained just through the questing you’ll be doing anyway. If follow the right approach you could earn up to 8000g at the end of all this.
Step 2: Farming for Gold
In this step a gathering profession will be good to have such as Mining or Herbalism.
Knowing the right place to farm is critical at this stage. The reason being that farming zones can be class and profession specific.
Step 3: Auction House
At this point you should’ve gathered about 200g. Now it’s possible for you to use the Auction House and earn up to 500g and hour. Check out my WoW Gold Guides to see my recommended guide to accomplishing this. It’ll also map out the best farming locations.
